The many enchanting visages of Indonesia’s astounding culture will radiate its splendors at the Art Science Museum of Marina Bay Sands, when The Majestic Mask: Indonesian Mask Festival gets underway from October 18-21, 2012 in Singapore. The event is initiated by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and it’s the first international art exhibition that interprets the epic love story of Panji, Sekartaji, and the ferocious Kelana from the ancient Java and Balinese realms through the diversity of Indonesia’s masks collection and dramatic performances. The festival will also reveal the treasured myths that bear the deep philosophy which are at the root of the internationally-acclaimed art performance of Tari Topeng or The Mask Dance.
